There are several passenger-only ferries that serve Martha’s Vineyard, but just one ferry that will bring your car over (www.islandferry.com). As a passenger-only you will pay about $20 round trip. The average round-trip cost for a car with passengers is $150, and a reservation is required. We have parking for 6 cars at the Dockside Inn, and there is on-street parking available as well. Alternatively, you can drive to any of the ferry companies on the mainland and park your car at their company parking lot for about $10/day and simply walk on to the ferry as a pedestrian. We always encourage our guests to consider leaving their cars behind and come and get around Martha’s Vineyard by foot, bicycle, public bus, or taxi, or you can rent a car on-island.
